Eco Council

shwmae!

We are the Eco-Council, croeso to our page!

The eco-council is made up of one child from every class from Year 1 to Year 6. We meet up regularly to discuss eco and environmental issues and decide on the actions we can take as a school and as a community. We want to empower and inspire all young people to make positive environmental changes.

Here you will find what we have been up to and any actions or campaigns we are completing.

Search #SAPSEco on Twitter for more St. Andrew's news and updates.

This sums up how we feel at St. Andrew's - if we all work together and try our best, even if it's just a small action to help the planet, we can make a big difference!

The Eco-council recently installed an air quality monitoring tube in Forest School. We will send the tube to a laboratory once a month to investigate levels of nitrogen dioxide, at the end of the year we will have 12 results to add up and average and then compare with the Newport City Council nitrogen dioxide standard (40ug/m3 )
