Welcome to Cynffig Comprehensive School

"I would like to welcome you to Cynffig Comprehensive School. A  dynamic, caring centre for learning which is driven by high expectations and strong aspirations for every pupil in our community. 

At Cynffig your child will be known, valued and supported. As staff we are committed to nurturing every pupil's potential and providing learning experiences that develop not only academic success, but also character, resilience and a strong sense of purpose. We want every young person to leave Cynffig believing in themselves and their ability to make a positive contribution to the world around them. 

Cynffig is far more than a building or a register of names. Cynffig is its people: pupils, parents and staff working together in partnership to support learning, wellbeing and aspirations. It is through these relationships that our young people thrive and develop into confident, compassionate and successful individuals.

Cynffig may be a small school, but it is a school with a big heart, high expectations and limitless ambition for its pupils. Helping every child realise their potential and pursue their aspirations is a responsibility we are proud to embrace each day. Cynffig pupils are an exceptional group of young people who, with our staff play a key role in creating a warm, positive community. Our school's ethos is centred on the belief that every pupil has the right to achieve their potential. It is this view that unites and motivates us all to support our pupils in their learning and development.

For me, this message is deeply personal. As a proud former pupil of Cynffig who attended a local primary school, I understand first-hand the opportunities that a Cynffig education can provide. The values, encouragement and experiences I received helped to shape the person I am today. For me being Headteacher is both a privilege and a reminder that great things can grow from humble beginnings.

I am living proof that Cynffig can help young people fulfil their dreams."
