The Citizenship strand has several important intentions, namely:

1. develop our learners' understanding of how to be a conscientious digital citizen, who can contribute positively to the digital world around them

2. giving our learners the necessary skills to critically evaluate their place in the digital world

3. prepare our learners for positive and negative aspects of being a digital citizen

4. learn about strategies and methods to help them as they develop into independent producers and users of digital work
