Unit 1: Principles of Health & Social Care (Exam – 1 hour 30 mins)

Explore how legislation protects individuals.
Understand how to maintain health, safety, and confidentiality in care settings.
This is a foundation unit for the whole course.
Unit 2: Anatomy and Physiology for Health & Social Care (Exam – 1 hour 30 mins)
Study how the major body systems work — circulatory, respiratory, digestive, and more.
Learn what happens when these systems go wrong, and how they are treated and monitored.
Explore how health conditions affect people’s lives and independence.
Unit 3: Person-Centred Approach to Care (Coursework – internally assessed)
Focus on how care and support should always be centred on an individual’s needs and preferences.
Learn how to communicate effectively and build relationships in care settings.
Plan and justify care strategies for real-life scenarios.
Unit 4: Supporting People with Mental Health Conditions (Coursework – internally assessed)
Explore the meaning of mental health and how it can be supported.
