Moving into Sixth Form is an exciting new chapter — and we’re here to make sure your transition is smooth, supportive, and successful.
Every student is part of a dedicated advisory group, usually led by one of your subject teachers. Our advisors have a wealth of experience in both their subject areas and Sixth Form life, offering expert guidance and personal support throughout your journey.
Each morning, from 8:25 to 8:55, you’ll have a daily check-in — a time to connect, get organised, and take part in our bespoke advisory programme. This includes sessions designed to support your PSHRE, careers education, and personal development, helping you grow both academically and personally.
Our Student Support Manager, Mrs Bain-Simmons, leads the pastoral provision within Sixth Form, working alongside our dedicated safeguarding team to ensure every student feels safe, supported, and valued.
Ms Jacobson, our Coordinator of Learning for Key Stage 5, brings a wealth of UCAS experience and plays a key role in the day-to-day running of the Sixth Form.
Mrs Stubbs, our Head of Sixth Form, combines her leadership role with expertise in UCAS and Careers guidance, ensuring every student receives the tailored support they need for their next steps.
We are proud to offer excellent facilities and personalised support to help every student thrive. Our Sixth Form Study Centre provides a modern, supervised space for independent study, while our quiet study area offers a calm environment for students who need adjustments. We also have our SEND Beacon Provision, designed to provide tailored support for students with additional learning needs.
To ensure all students achieve their potential, we carefully design individual schedules that are fit for purpose, including subject support sessions, scheduled mentor check-ins, and targeted interventions where needed.
PSHRE remains an important part of Sixth Form life, led by Mrs Renton, who ensures lessons are engaging and relevant — connecting key themes of wellbeing, life skills, and future aspirations to real-world contexts.
At our Sixth Form, pastoral care goes beyond academics — it’s about creating an environment where every student feels known, supported, and inspired to succeed.
