Holy Trinity has an access control system. The purpose of this system is to help secure our campus to prevent unauthorized access. We have not had a problem in the past, but we want to avoid the potential for problems in the future.
Staff and other authorized people use an identification (ID) badge instead of keys to get into the buildings. During entry & exit times, the main school doors automatically unlock to allow our children to get in and out of the school. At all other times, all doors are automatically secured. This may pose an inconvenience for some, but we believe that our children and our campus are more secure with this system.
All visitors must go to the main entrance door and sign in. Visitors are required to sign in at the main office upon entering the school and wear a visitor badge while on the premises.
Close-circuit video cameras are positioned to watch the major door areas. All cameras are viewed from the main school office.
*We are continually reviewing and updating our policies to stay current and proactive in keeping our campus safe.
Sexual harassment is demeaning, both to the victim and to the harasser. It violates our Christian values, and it is prohibited by law under Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act and Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972. Those who engage in sexual harassment may be subject to disciplinary and possibly legal action. All faculty, staff, students, visitors, and volunteers are responsible for ensuring that they are not harassed, that people around them are not harassed, and that they themselves do not harass others. Sexual harassment may include actions or words of a sexual nature that are “not welcomed, not asked for, and not returned.”
What should be done if you are sexually harassed?
Tell the harasser clearly that you don’t like this behavior, that it’s offensive to you and you want it to stop. Tell a parent, report the incident to a teacher, school staff member or administrator, and document what happened. Write down the time, place, what occurred, who was involved and the specific behavior you found offensive. If set procedure fails, then contact the Superintendent of Schools.

There is a written Archdiocesan Policy that mandates procedures for this action—all schools must comply with this policy.
There is an emergency preparedness procedure for our school. You may review a copy of this procedure in the school office.
