In order to achieve the purpose of the Catholic School System, students will:
Model their lives on the teachings of Jesus through prayer, respect for life, practice of self-discipline and responsible decision making;
Participate in Church life, especially in the sacraments, liturgy and service;
Demonstrate the effective use and application of computational skills and mathematical concepts;
Demonstrate the effective use of technological and informational resources;
Demonstrate the effective use of scientific methods and scientific concepts;
Exhibit the knowledge of our country's democratic process, history and cultural diversity needed to become active citizens within our country and global community;
Express themselves creatively through the fine arts;
Demonstrate personal and social skills needed for spiritual, physical and emotional wellness;
Develop and practice skills needed for preparation for interpersonal relationships in family, community and careers;
Demonstrate a desire for continuous self-directed learning.
A commitment of support from the school and parish community is essential to fulfill the purpose and goals of our mission. To this end, certain responsibilities are accepted.
Show respect for the Catholic ideals on which the school is centered; and,
Maintain an attitude of accountability for their learning; and
Cooperate in a positive/kind manner with school personnel and other students

Model Christian behaviors and attitudes, including fulfillment of the Sunday obligation and active participation in the Sacraments and in ongoing faith formation;
Partner with and Support the efforts of the parish and school in the education of their child(ren);
Share talent and time with the parish and/or school;
As their child's first teacher, encourage and help them to learn
Promote regular attendance and punctuality;
Provide an appropriate environment and schedule adequate time for completion of schoolwork;
Maintain Christian decorum in all communication with school personnel and other members of the school community.
Holy Trinity Catholic School reserves the right to reevaluate a student’s enrollment based on parental behaviors that violate this policy.

Present content using a variety of methods that are sensitive to the individual needs of our students as well as the diocesan curriculum outcomes;
Maintain a classroom conducive to learning;
Follow the teacher dress code as outlined in the staff handbook;
Challenge students to learn;
Uphold policies and procedures as outlined in the Parent/Student Handbook.
Model Christian behaviors and attitudes; this includes positive/kind interaction with all Holy Trinity stakeholders;
Serve along with the pastor as the administrator of the school. He or she consults with the pastor on all major policies and decisions;
Promote the spiritual development of the school.
Develop, understand, communicate, and protect the mission of the school;
Identify personnel needs, supervise and make decisions regarding staffing, employment, and contract renewal for all employees;
Provide leadership in curriculum development and instruction;
Provide leadership for continual improvement, long-range planning, and goal setting;
Prepare the budget and manage the school within budget guidelines;
Represent the school as a spokesperson to the media, parishes, alumni, and parent groups;
Maintain effective communication with the pastor and parents;
Serve as an ex-officio member of the School Advisory Council, School Development Committee, and School Volunteer League;
Develop relationships and contribute positively to the broader educational community (e.g. other parish education programs for children and adults, school office committees, public schools, State Dept. of Education, Cognia);
Develop local procedures and policies; implement Archdiocesan policies and governmental requirements; and maintain school accreditation.
Communicate with the School Office regarding issues that arise in the school;
Oversee the physical plant and equipment of the school and maintain a safe environment;
Uphold by policies and procedures as outlined in the Parent/Student Handbook.

Provide two-way communication among school, parents/guardians, and parish;
Advise on the formation of policies;
Support decisions regarding the implementation of policies;
Participate in long-range planning to extend Catholic Education into the future.

Ensure sufficient financial assistance to enable educational opportunities for all families within the parish;
Provide salaries and benefits to Catholic school educators that reflect the social justice teachings of the Church.
Knowing that example speaks louder than words; it is important to keep in mind that it is a parental responsibility to give witness to Christian values. In addition to the example, other responsibilities are:
To encourage your child to obey the regulations and principles of good behavior;
To provide adequate places for study and encourage completion of assignments;
To encourage the development of your child's individual talents and interests;
To build religious celebration and family prayer into your daily life;
To keep the school informed of the special needs of your child;
To read all communication sent to the home by the school;
To attend conferences and to request additional information as needed;
To support the regulations within this handbook.
