The School Advisory Council exists at the discretion of the Pastor and Principal and is designed to be of a strictly consultative nature. The Council is designed to serve as a sounding board to the Principal. When called upon, the Council provides feedback to the Principal and Pastor regarding policy and standards for the school. Matters involving curriculum, personnel, and individual student concerns of a confidential nature are solely the purview of administrators and pastors and are not appropriate topics for school council consideration. SAC is comprised of 11 Holy Trinity school parent members, one teacher representative, Pastor, Principal, and Vice Principal.
The School Development Committee advances the mission and vision of Holy Trinity School by ensuring the synergies of HTS parents sustain a substantial source of income outside of tuition and fees.
HTS is funded by three sources:
Parish subsidy (32-35%),
Tuition (58-63%), and
Fndraising (5-7%).
The three largest fundraisers are:
HT Parish Harvest Gala and Auction,
Trash bag sales and
Wacky Walk.
Other efforts include:
Restaurant nights,
Shrimp dinner,
Matching employer gifts, and
Other donations.
The SDC will set yearly fundraising goals that support the school’s long-range strategic plan, teacher resources, tuition assistance, and building improvements.
Every parent/family is expected to fully participate in all fundraising efforts in order to maintain affordable tuition rates. Fundraising earns each family $180 per child in tuition savings. Thank you for your continued support!
The School Volunteer League assists the school in advancing the school mission and community of our students and families in conjunction with our parish. This is accomplished by promoting, supporting and participating in activities and programs designed to further the spiritual, scholastic and administrative objectives of the school mission. The purpose of the SVL is to promote and support activities and programs designed to further the spiritual, academic, emotional and physical development of all students, empowering them to cultivate positive relationships, think critically and become disciples for the Catholic Church and the world. The work of the SVL will be done in support of and in cooperation with the school administration. Membership includes every school parent, parishioner, administrator and staff member of the parish and school.
Any school-sponsored groups needing additional meeting space outside of the school building or the Parish Center during the school day must contact the School Office (888-3250) to schedule.
Student Council officers are elected in the spring by grades 4 through 7 for the next school year. Representatives and Alternates are elected in the fall from their homeroom classes. Student Council members serve as role models for our school community. Officers, representatives, and alternates must remain in good academic and behavioral standing. Good academic standing is defined as maintaining grades at or above a B- . Good behavioral standing is defined as refraining from numerous office referrals and/or significant behavior violations.
If a STUCO member needs to be placed on probation or removed from STUCO, the decision will be made by the STUCO staff representative and administration.
Parents will be informed of the probation or dismissal.
