Collective Worship

We have an act of worship every day at Herbert Thompson Primary School. Either we meet as a whole school or in individual classrooms.

** During Covid, many of our assemblies are virtual.

The acts of worship usually follow a Christian theme or try to encourage the school values and themes. It is also a time when the whole school can share in successes and achievements of individual children.

We welcome visitors who come and share our acts of worship. Staff and pupils alike really enjoy these visits. There are also opportunities for the children to present the act of worship themselves through various themes like Harvest, St. David’s Day or Easter.

We also have weekly ‘Pause for thought’ classroom based circle time sessions which enable children to engage in thoughtful reflections.
