When can I enroll or change my benefit package?

Huntsville City Schools' employees have the opportunity to participate in a variety of group and individual benefits. However, there are typically only 3 times during the year that enrollment or changes are permitted:

1. Within 30 days of date of hire

2. Qualifying Life Events

3. Annual Open Enrollment

How do I receive my device and email address?

You will receive your device at New Teacher Orientation. If you are unable to attend NTO, the library media specialist in your building is your contact for questions regarding your device. You may also contact the help desk for assistance with IT-related issues.

How do I receive my username and password for PowerSchool PD? (Unified Talent)

The username will be firstname.lastname. Your temporary password will be 1234. If you are still unable to login, please email Linda Talley

*For new accounts, please allow 2 weeks after board approval for your account to be active. If you are coming from a district in AL, please contact your previous district to release your PS account information.

How do I access the curriculum? 

You may access the curriculum under the HCS intranet (staff) portal. You will be able to access helpful links such as Clever and Schoology

If I have a question about my paycheck, who do I contact? 

For questions about payroll, you should contact the Payroll Department at 256-428-6853, or email 

Payroll.

If I have a question about health insurance and/or any other benefits, who do I call? 

For questions about health insurance or benefits, you should contact the HR Department at 256-428-6839 , or email Human Resources.

Email training documents to Talent Management.
