This June, all children in Year 1 children will be taking the Phonics Screening Check.
This June, all children in Year 1 children will be taking the Phonics Screening Check.
All children in England take this phonics-based check in June and the results will be used to determine how well children are performing in reading. These checks are important to us as they help us to track pupils’ progress accurately and allow us to fully identify any child who is not yet fluently reading by the end of Year 1.
