We have loved welcoming the children into school after the Easter break and have been so impressed with their learning skills already. We have been busy catching up with our friends, learning to 'choose it, use it, put it away' and getting back into the routine of being in Nursery. We are excited to see what amazing learning takes place this term.
This half term we are thinking about 'Traditional tales' and after half term we will be learning about 'Journeys and transition'. We will be using focus texts to support our learning. We will be exploring traditional tales, retelling them, predicting what might happen next and using our drama skills to pretend to be different characters. After half term we will be learning about how we can travel to different places around the world and we will be talking about journeys we have been on ourselves. We will be doing some gardening and taking care of our vegetable patches. We will also start thinking about next academic year and visit the Reception classrooms too.
We would like to thank you all for your support in helping prepare the children for the new term- we are very proud of them!

Our topic this half term is 'Traditional tales'. After half term we are learning about 'Journeys and transition'.
At Nursery we learn through play and follow the children's interests. We use books to help us explore different topics and during this first half term our focus is 'The world around us'. In Summer 1 we will look at 'Traditional tales.
