Middle School Band

Middle School band students are offered multiple performance opportunities throughout the year. A couple times a year the students get to experience performing with the high school band marching in the homecoming parade, playing pep band tunes at football and basketball games, and performing with them at the All-School Concert in May. Including the All-School Concert, the band performs a total of three concerts each school year. Additionally, select individuals receive the opportunity to participate in the Northeast Iowa Bandmasters Association Honor Band and the Tri-State Honor Band. In order to participate in these honor bands students are nominated by the director and selected by a committee based on their accomplishments. Finally, at the end of the school year the band is typically awarded with a trip to Adventureland where they perform a short concert in the park and then get to spend the rest of the day enjoying the rides.
