Science Research Award This year, many students were engaged in science research both on and off our campus. Today, we recognize the outstanding research work of two students who have set examples for the possibilities of doing science research at Horace Mann.
Robert Cairo Award Bob Cairo was a tremendously well-regarded science teacher at Horace Mann, and the Robert Cairo award celebrates his energetic, ambitious approach to science, as well as his eagerness to share his enthusiasm with others. This award is given to a student or students who best exemplify Bob Cairo’s passion for learning and sharing science; recognizing both outstanding work in science-related activities and contributions to the overall Science program at the school.
The Henry J. Binder, MD, class of ’53 Scientific Achievement Award is presented to graduating seniors who best demonstrate a passion and skill for biological and/or physical sciences and their applications toward the common good by completing superior work during their time at Horace Mann School.
