Grant Management Module

This module’s four major functions are Funding Opportunities, Applications, Grants, and Projects.

The module enables the relevant designated users to:

  1. Search for grants (“Funding Opportunities”).

  2. Apply (“Applications”) for suitable funding schemes (“Interested Funding Schemes”).

  3. View the status of grant applications, with updates provided by the Center for Holistic Teaching and Learning (CHTL), Knowledge Transfer Office (KTO) or Research Office (RO) after receiving results from funding bodies.

  4. Generate records with full details of successful grant applications by CHTL, KTO or RO.

  5. Provide general information/details about successful grant applications (“Projects”) for inclusion on the public Research Portal by CHTL, KTO or RO.

Please note the following internal procedures for approving grant applications before submission to funding bodies:

  1. Principal Investigators submit applications.

  2. Department Head reviews applications, verifies staff eligibility, checks for plagiarism issues, and endorses applications.

  3. Dean reviews applications, verifies staff eligibility, checks for plagiarism issues, and endorses applications.

  4. Research Office conducts compliance checks for applications and seeks Vice-President (Research and Development)'s final endorsement.

  5. Research Office submits applications to funding bodies, and provides updates on application results when available.
