The Tend team carefully goes through each application when staffing shifts. Please see below for the criteria that the staffing team takes into account when making approvals!
Reliability
Priority is given to Tenders who have demonstrated reliability and punctuality in past shifts. It's extremely important to be able to count on you!
Call-Outs: If you can no longer work a shift that you have been approved for, you have the option to call-out of the shift. You can call-out by clicking 'Cancel Job' on the shift posting in the app. If you are planning on calling-out of your shift, make sure to do it well in advance.
Faults: You will receive a 'Fault' on your account if you do not show up for a shift that you were approved to work.
The staffing team understands that life happens! If your schedule unexpectedly changes and you are no longer able to work a shift, please let the staffing team know as soon as possible by cancelling in the app.
Distance
The staffing team does their best to limit your commute by staffing Tenders who live closer to the shifts.
Skillsets
The staffing team staffs Tenders whose skillsets most closely match with the needs of the client to ensure successful shifts.
Certifications
Many clients require state-specific alcohol or food handling certifications to work that venue. The staffing team will prioritize staffing Tenders who have already submitted the necessary certifications to Tend.
Client Feedback
Priority is given to Tenders who receive positive feedback from clients, so always make sure to give it your all during your shifts!
Tips and Tricks for Receiving Positive Feedback:
Arrive on time (or even a few minutes early!)
Dress in the correct attire listed in the app
Sign in and out on the timesheet onsite
Clock in and out on the app
Stay for the entire shift length listed in the app
Do not smoke or vape on the job
Make sure your phone is put away
Put in your best effort - remember you were specifically chosen because the staffing team believes you would do a great job!
