Student Quotes:
"My favorite part of this course was being part of a classroom community. I really enjoyed the communal aspect that evolved as the year continued. I felt that I became good friends with my peers and we all worked together to learn the material. The community of people in my class made the course fun and a collaborative learning experience. I loved working alongside and giving and receiving help from my peers in physics. "
"...The fact that I had someone else to bounce ideas off of was invaluable. The harder problems like the banked turns were rough but having someone that allowed me to fully flesh out my ideas and actually see if they were going to work made it bearable and not so daunting. Essentially, I just learned that I don't have to do it by myself and that my classmates and teacher are super valuable..."
Team Challenge!
Decide who is your Team Leader!
Whoever starts the Problem Set first will be the Team Leader for your group and will be in charge of entering your responses since only 1 person needs to submit your results for your Team!
Only the Team Leader can access the problem set!
...until the Due Date passes, after which the Problem Set will be unlocked from Group mode and each person can individually re-attempt the problems to replace your group score in order to practice and work on it individually to raise your score to 100%!
You will need to work together, and only 1 person can steer the ship at a time!
Make sure to share and SUBMIT by the DUE DATE (otherwise the Group score will not apply!)--you only have ONE (1) Team attempt!
During the Group Quiz, you will only have 1 attempt, but you may redo a question immediately by clicking "Try another question like this one" which will let you retry a question without penalty! This is the best time to learn from your mistakes while the concepts are fresh, and that way you can work as a team to achieve mastery of the unit objectives!
This is to your advantage so that you don't have to re-attempt the questions later on your own if you want to work towards 100% mastery--you can do it with your Team!
As the Team Leader, you will want to make sure to copy / paste / screenshot your groups questions into a shared Google Doc / OneNote collaboration page so you can collaborate with your Team!
You can also use a cool video conferencing tool like Google Meet to share your screen with your Team to work together outside of class!
Teamwork makes the Dream Work!
Important: Only 1 attempt is allowed per Group--if a group needs another re-attempt you will have to manually delete their first attempt!
Only one student per group answers the quiz questions. The grade is copied to all the members of the group using the second form below.
If you need to change any grade in the test, you must use the Responses view and not the Gradebook. Then you can apply again the group grade to all the members of the group.
Careful:
The group quiz uses a specific grouping. Make sure to give the appropriate access rule in the 'Restrict access' section of the quiz main settings page.
If a student is in more than one group in the same grouping, the system will only consider his first affiliation.
If a teacher deletes an attempt, the Gradebook is not cleared of the copied grades. It must be done manually by the teacher.
Do not change the grouping if attempts exist for this quiz!

Google Jamboard is a great way to help support students and collaborate in real-time with multiple users able to ink simultaneously--groups can sign up for help, and then post their work to a Jamboard for you to project and go over with small groups. Each Jamboard session supports up to 20 boards, which can easily be cleared and re-arranged to support each class or Team Challenge!

Notice how each group is sharing their screens, working together actively, using the chat boxes, and with the Google Meet Breakout Rooms extension, you can easily setup and move between Breakout rooms using a nifty slider!
