Open Source Revolution

Why use Open Source software? All of the code and any modifications is owned by the user, and the code can be inspected anytime and modified anytime!

In other words, all of our hard work will not be lost at the whimsy of a 3rd party vendor, whose pricing structure can change anytime or who may close their doors anytime due to market forces (Blackboard, SharePoint, Google Classroom, Canvas, ParScore, Respondus LockDown Browser, Secure Exam Proctor, etc.).

With the power of Open Source software, I have been running a pilot server since 2012 through 2024, and plan on continuing until 2030+!

We currently run our own Moodle servers in house on District 86 servers--ALL content and code we create is controlled by us! 😎
