Leads in the selection, integration, organization, and sharing of digital resources and tools to support transformational teaching and learning and develops the digital curation skills of others.
Empowers Students as Creators
Encourages and facilitates students to become increasingly self-directed as they create digital products of their learning that engage them in critical thinking, collaboration, and authentic real-world problem solving.
Pull curricular materials for classroom teachers.
Collaborative planning and team teaching of lessons incorporating research skills into the curriculum.
Teach digital citizenship skills and provide support to staff using Neptune Navigate.
Support students and staff with Accelerated Reader through Renaissance.
Participate and promote use of Sora to access the Overdrive collection. Part of WSDLC.
Subscriptions to a variety of online encyclopedias and databases at all levels. Databases are accessed through the district library homepages.
Participate in PLC meetings to help inform instruction and provide support for students and teachers.
Update annually Library Scope and Sequence - collaboratively with library assistant and with teacher input.
Integrate information and technology literacy skills into the library curriculum to support the Strategic Plan for Continuous Improvement.
Collect data annually about circulation and digital resources.
Encourage students and staff to use the resources and spaces available in the media centers for projects and group learning activities.
