Cultivates Community Partnerships

Cultivates partnerships within the school and local community (including families and caregivers, nonprofit organizations, government agencies, public and higher education libraries, businesses) to promote engagement and a community of readers.

CURRENT PRACTICES & ARTIFACTS

Communicate with local Public Libraries about resources and programming.
Social Media presence in Facebook to reach beyond school walls.
Collaborate with other Public Libraries to find materials for students and staff that are not a part of our collections.
Annual Book Fair during fall parent/teacher conferences.
Collaborate with the Hilbert/Potter Optimists to provide "Birthday Books" to all students in grades 4K - 8.

OPPORTUNITIES FOR GROWTH

Collaborate with the public libraries in order to promote youth programming.
Work to promote new materials that are available in our libraries, both at school and on social media.
Expand our libraries social media presents in order to better communicate with our families and share library news.
