Skill 2: tessalllated Pattern

Check END and NEAR

Create a box that starts at (0,0) and extends to (2,2)

Select the square and press enter.  Then select the bottom left corner. Read the prompt and when asked input angle of rotation type in 45 to set square to 45 degrees. 

Select the square and hit enter.

Select the bottom of the square.

Input 1" and move cursor to right until it snaps to X axis line, then click to place the copy. 

Select the sqare to the right.

Explode will break the square into segments

Select the left 2 segments and delete them.

Use poly line to connect the corners

Measure the from far left corner to far right corner. You need to know these distances for your next command. 

The distance is shown on the bottom of the screen and at the bottom of the command history. 

Select all the lines and hit enter to create a group

Select the group you made. Array 6 in X direction and 6 in Y direction. 

Select the bottom left corner of the group

Move the cursor to the top of the group and let the cursor snap. Then move the cursor over to the right click. 

Before hitting done edit the X direction to be the distance you measured earlier. 

Screen shot your Fish with 

 (Command + Shift + 4)

or (Command + Shift + 5) for whole screen
