All students have access to a dedicated pastoral team comprising of a form tutor, a behaviour mentor, a head of year and a member of the senior leadership team.
We recognise that a small minority of students will experience challenges in consistently adhering to the school’s behaviour expectation. We use a range of interventions for students who need further support with their behaviour.
Students who require additional support will be given one or more support interventions depending on the context and nature of the concerns.
Behaviour contract: Short term contract to realign a student’s behaviour with school expectations.
Pastoral Support Plan: a longer term intervention plan for students bringing together arrange of support strategies.
Welfare Support Plan: led by our family liaison officer, a WSP is for vulnerable students who need extra support with attendance, punctuality, homework and other welfare support. More details are in our Safeguarding Policy 2020.
Referral to external agencies (Enfield Behaviour Support Services, CAMHS, Early Help)
The school counsellor: officers counselling sessions for students who would find this helpful.
Mediation service: behaviour mentors lead mediation sessions between students and friendship groups.
Support groups: we work with external agencies to run small, support groups.
These are examples of types of support groups that could be offered:
