Tiger Basketball has been one of the premier programs in Nebraska for over a century. The boys hold the state record for most appearances at the state tournament, playing in the state finals in five different decades and winning the 1954 Class A state championship. Nine of those trips to state have ended with a state title game. Besides the 1954 champs, the Tigers brought home runner-up trophies in 1923, 1929, 1932, 1933, 1949, 1992, and 1996 [pictured]. The Tigers have won 51 games in the tournament, the most recent a quarterfinal win in 2004.
