Football

Hastings High's first football team took the field in the first years of the 1900s. Since them the Tigers have captured 16 conference and division titles, qualified for the playoffs 12 times, and won three state championships.

Fifty-one all-state players have worn the orange and black, hundreds have continued their careers in college, and four have gone on to play professionally. [Pictured: All-stater Burdon 'Duck' Daugherty scores for the Tigers in 1951.]
