This week's lesson will be Lesson 5- Urban Sprawl in America answering the essential question of "How does urban sprawl affect the people and the planet?". This is all part of the units big picture question of "• How do geography, climate, and resources affect the way people live and work?" During the week students will role play a community planning group and be able to analyze the causes of, consequences of, and various solutions to urban sprawl, identify the effects of urban sprawl policies implemented in three North American cities. and analyze the implications of global urban patterns and international solutions to sprawl. Students will have a quiz on Friday. The main homework for the week will be completing the classwork done in class.
