As students of LTC (Language-Talented Class, year 2018-2021) in HGSH (National Hsinchu Girls' Senior High School, 國立新竹女子高級中學), we are grateful for being blessed with a lot of learning resources, which motivates us to take action to give back to society. This website, a collaborative effort by all of us, is what we believe would make Hsinchu city better.

Introduction of Hsinchu Zoo
Hsinchu Zoo is located in Hsinchu City, Taiwan. Established in 1936, it is known as the very first zoo in Taiwan. In the beginning, it was set up as a children's playground with a subsidiary animal park. During World War II, the animals in Hsinchu Zoo were sent to Taipei Zoo and Hsinchu Zoo was then temporarily closed.

In 1953, Hsinchu Zoo finished its repair and was open to the public. Hsinchu Zoo once brought in polar bears, which hit the headlines in Taiwan.

In 2017, the government closed down Hsinchu Zoo for a while and started to repair it. After two and a half years, the zoo was finally open again with 39 kinds of animals in it. Now, Hsinchu Zoo has become one of the most popular tourist attractions in Hsinchu.
