What is Aware?

Aware is an app in the Eduphoria Suite for schools that aids administrators and teachers. Educators can create and analyze assessments using Aware.

HFISD Uses for AWARE

Common Formative Assessments: One Team, One Goal.

HFISD uses Common Formative Assessments (formerly known as Curriculum Based Assessments/CBAs) in the classroom, which are unit based assessments. Teachers will use Aware for consistent data disaggregation. CFA's should align with the same rigor as the STAAR exam. Teachers have the flexibility to give their CFA anytime during a four week period. Aware is a tool that teachers will use, but teachers have the freedom to create their own multiple-choice CFA.

Teacher Created Test: Classroom Toolbox

Teachers can use Aware as a classroom assessment tool. Aware can print answer keys for teachers to use as their scantron. The online test feature is also available. Please communicate with your campus instructional technologist to get this setup. Aware offers a few different test types including: quick test key, blank test, or copy existing test and state assessments.

Analyze District, Classroom or State Assessments: Data "Aware"ness

Teachers have the ability to view students' district, classroom or state assessments. The Analyze tab allows users to select various data disaggregation views including: questions missed, learning objective, economically disadvantaged, and more. Teachers can clearly see what learning objectives are satisfactory or advanced. Teachers can set their own satisfactory standards when they create the test. Grades are not affected by the standard set - it only gives a yes or no in the standard columns.

Groups: Special Programs Documentation

Under the Analyze tab, click on My Student Groups to find 504, ESL, and Dyslexia documentation. Go to these groups to locate students, print accommodations for your files or journal about student progress.
