Analyze Data

You’ve taken a CFA, now what? Follow the steps below to explore the different views within the Analyze tab and reflect on student, class, and teacher progress. How-to steps will be provided for all teachers and Department/Grade Level Heads (some views are not available to all staff members).

Before analyzing your results, be aware of the following:

  • Make sure you’re done scanning bubble sheets or all students have had time to enter online answers.
  • If the test Performance Level Configuration values were left at default, it is strongly recommended that teachers edit them to mirror STAAR Performance Standards and re-score before analyzing the results.
    • Click on the “Assessments” tab in Aware and locate the test
    • Under the “General” tab you can check your Performance Level Configuration values. (Default: Satisfactory=70% and Advanced=100%). 90% is a more accurate value for Advanced for some courses and, depending on the STAAR passing percentage for the course, some teachers set Satisfactory to 60%. *When Copying an Existing Test, these values can be edited each year.
    • Under the "Administration" tab, click “RESCORE" if you’ve adjusted the values after the results were entered.
