Hello,

I am Tracy Green. I have been teaching in the Hesperia Unified School District since 2000. I have been teaching here at Krystal since the school opened. Krystal is a fantastic school and I love working here! I went to University of Redlands for my Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Arts and to Chapman University for my Master's courses and Credential in Education. I have been married for 33 years and have two grown children and two young granddaughters. I truly enjoy teaching Kindergarten because the children learn so many important life lessons. Giving your child a solid start to their education is my goal! Kindergarten is a magical time and I love making memories every year!

Welcome back to school!

Here are some things you can do to get ready for Kindergarten:

What can YOU do as a parent to help your child be ready for kindergarten?

Important Things to Practice This Summer:

1) Help your child practice writing his/her name

2) Make sure when your child learns to write his/her name; only the first letter is capitalized, all other letters are lower case letters, and there are NO backwards letters

3) Learn the letter sounds: Zoo Phonics Video Link:

4) Learn how to fasten or tie shoes

5) Practice cutting with scissors

6) Practice shapes and colors

7) Practice recognizing and writing numbers to 10

8) Practice using the restroom 100% independently, including flushing the toilet and fastening pants (all with the door closed)
