Welcome to TK! My name is Maria Avalos and I will be your child's transitional kindergarten teacher. This is my 20th year of teaching. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Studies and a Master's Degree in Education from Azusa Pacific University. 

I have taught k-2nd grade, but kindergarten is by far my favorite grade to teach! I enjoy seeing the growth our kindergarten students make throughout the school year. 

Although I taught kindergarten for 15 years, I decided to make the switch to transitional kindergarten and am absolutely loving it! I have many fun activities planned for the upcoming school year! I am so excited for the school year and I look forward to helping your child meet their social and academic goals this year!
