*Frequently Asked Questions*
What will my child need on the 1st day of school?
Your child will need a backpack, snack, lunch, and water bottle. Students will be eating BOTH lunch and a snack.
Does Kindergarten allow/provide half-day schedules?
We do offer and recommend a half-day schedule, especially for the first 2 weeks up to the first month of school. We recommend it for the social/emotional well being of the student. This allows for a smoother transition to full days, with less behavior issues and a better attitude toward school. If you choose this option, please let your child’s teacher know.
Half-Day Dismissal Times:
(Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday)- 1:56pm
Wednesday- 12:59pm
What time does school end?
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday- 3:27pm
Wednesdays- 2:27pm
What is the dismissal break down and which is the quickest method?
Walk-Up
The quickest method to avoid your child waiting outside for a long time is “Walk-up” pick-up. Your child will be picked up inside the cafeteria. But is the most congested, so be patient and perpare for a lot of people. You need to bring the yellow signs.
Walkers
Walkers have to now live within a radius of our school. You will have to go to the office to fill out the forms.
Drive Up
Drive-up is led out last (3:25). It is the lengthier dismissal method. Have the name plate displayed in the window to speed up the process. Your child will be directed to a cone which allows the traffic to continue to flow.
Do you celebrate birthdays?
We do celebrate birthdays in the class. Out of respect for our daily schedule, please give the teacher at least a weeks notice if you would like to bring something for the class and make sure the items are teacher/school approved. These items need to be dropped off to the front office before school.

A few additional reminders:
Students will be eating lunch at school beginning the first day of school
Send a snack and a lunch each day with your child. (If your child is getting "school lunch”, send a written note or text to teacher for the first few weeks)
Label BOTH your child's "lunch" and "snack."
Put your child's lunch and snack in two different bags so students can identify the difference. This will only be necessary the 1st month of school.
Please put your child's name on any reusable items as well as coats, jackets and personal belongings. This will help any lost items returned to its owner.
Do not send toys, candy, or electronics to school.
Send your child to school with an extra set of clothes in case he/she has an accident.
I will place a colored piece of yarn on your child’s backpack the first day of school. Please keep the yarn on your child’s backpack all year (the yarn will either be red (drive-up) or blue (walk-up), unless your child is a walker (green tag). This is how all the teachers quickly identify where the student needs to be at the end of the day.
