Pep Band

Pep band is a great opportunity for students in band to perform for the community and play a different style of music. On Saturday mornings, students of all grades travel to Keyport High School to play music for the football team. Since HHRS does not have a football team of their own, this is a great way for students to still experience high school football games. We play short pieces, in order to set the mood for the game. These songs are more popularized pop songs, like “Let’s Get it Started” and “The Final Countdown”. Transportation is provided to and from Keyport, that way anyone can get involved. It is a great way to get out of the classroom, and play in a new setting.
