The high school band is made up of students from grades 9-12. The band meets every day and is divided into 2 different class periods. The students come together before performances to practice as a full combined band. The high school band program offers students a more advanced approach to performing and often pushes students beyond their comfort zone. Most students involved in the high school band find themselves involved in many other music-related extracurriculars. Some students even find themselves playing more than one instrument. The band performs annually at Henry Hudson’s winter and spring concerts. They have also performed in various festivals and locations along the east coast including Boston, MA, and Walt Disney World, FL. The band has also had the honor of receiving first place in the “Music In The Parks” festival in Boston, as well as an overall “superior” rating.
