I am thrilled to be your school counselor and a part of the Mcdonough Middle school family. I am a Georgia peach and was born and raised in Georgia. I previously worked in education on the collegiate level and assisted college students. I felt I could make a difference working with younger students. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Anthropology from Valdosta State University. GO BLAZERS! I received a Master of Science in School Counseling from Walden University. From an early age, I learned it was important to create a nurturing, engaging environment where every child can thrive. I strive to assist my learners in developing academic tenacity and motivation. By lowering complacency and closing the achievement gap to ensure a high-quality, world-class education for every student, I firmly believe that given the right support and tools, every student can accomplish anything they set their minds to.
