This is an audtioned crew of students who sing a variety of popular and rock music from the past and recent times. There are often two or three part harmonies which the students learn and the group develops aural and vocal skills for singing in rock bands, choirs or other musical groups.
In Vocal Squad we sing a variety of music which is often sung in parts or harmony. This year we will be meeting on a Wednesday morning at 8:15 am for for 45 minutes. Often, if you are part of this group, it is also good to be involved in the school choir, which meets on a Tuesday at 12:15pm.
If you are keen to be a part of this group this year, you will need to audition. Please fill out the form below.
If you are a year 8 who was in the voices squad last year, then you will not need to audition, but you do need to fill in the form.
Any new students Year 7 or 8 will need to fill in the form below and watch this page or the PAC notice board for audition times.
The auditions will happen on Thursday 5th and Tuesday 10th February. The times will be posted in the notices, and on the PAC notice board. Please also watch the notices for meetings and start times.
Our school squad performed two songs at our recent music Soiree held at school. This was a musical evening to celebrate the learning and work we have been doing since the start of the year. Here are some photos from the evening.

The audition timetable has been posted on the school notices and is up on the PAC notice borad. Please make sure you know when your audition is. The auditions are being held on the Friday 17th February now. Please note the change of date. If you are a returning Chorale member you must still fill out the google form. Chorale auditions will start next week. This involves singing the national anthem and doing some quick aural tests. If you are a Year 8 student who has been in the Heaton Chorale before, you do not need to audition but you still need to fill out the form. Any new Year 8 students who weren't in the chorale last year will need to audition as will all Year 7 Students
The auditions will be happening on Friday 17ht Febrauary between 10:35am-12:30pm. There is a google form to fill out or you can come and get a paper copy from the PAC, or Mrs Hill. Please have your forms in to me by Thursday 9th February at the latest.
