Dance Club 2025

Dance club will be held in Terms 1 and 4 this year, during lunchtimes. 

All are welcome, it does not matter how good or experienced you are at dancing. Miss Kara will be taking/overseeing the group. If you are interested please watch the daily notices to find out when we will first meet.

DANCE Term 2 & 3 2021

We are having a tutor from Papanui High School come in on a Monday afternoon. Please let Mrs Hill know if you are interested in coming along to this class. 

Royal NZ Ballet Workshop

On the 20th November a number of students had the opportunity to do a workshop with a member of the Royal NZ Ballet, Lucy-Margaux Marinkovich. Lucy joined us for an hour workshop in which 20 students learnt some steps, technique and a dance from the Nutcracker

Dance Performances at the Celebration of Learning Concert

This was our cultural dance group who performed a dance to the music of Stan Walker - New Takeover

This was one of the dance groups which performed from the work they had done in Performing arts class around the rights of children to be able to play and not be confined to child labour.

Hip Hop Dance Group

This friday is the first week back and jump jam auditions are being held at the time we practise...so there will be no hip hop this week and if there are more auditions next week there will be a change in date so we can get to work!!!

Yay we are off to a great start !!!

Practises are every Friday from 12:45 sharp in the P.A.C

We all need to concentrate to get our dances finished

This week on friday 31st we will be doing formations so get your facials, 100% effort and have a fun but serious face on

Hip hop Crew Auditions will be next week on Monday 27th February. All students who want to be a part of this group will need to learn an audition dance this Friday lunch time in the PAC. Practices for this group will be Friday lunchtimes for this term. Please fill out the fom below if you would like to be a part of this group
