In 2016, The Big Lottery Fund awarded Blackpool Council £10 million to support young people's resilience over the next 5 years.

This one day course is an Introduction to Resilient Therapy & putting it into practice. It is aimed at anyone supporting children, young people and families and keen to understand resilience. For example: community family workers, teachers and school staff, social workers, early years workers, learning mentors, personal advisers, youth workers and so on. No previous experience of Resilient Therapy needed however attending a “Resilience Get Together” session prior to attendance will improve your experience of this training.
This workshop offers an introduction to the concept of resilience and Resilient Therapy and provides the opportunity to consider those things we can do to cushion children more broadly, from the worst effects of adversity. It introduces our approach, a straightforward and strategic way of working with children, young people and families that builds capacity to manage life’s challenges more resiliently.
