HIVE Extended Preschool

In our HIVE Extended Preschool program, Hillsborough's Recreation staff provides a fun, nurturing environment to extend the child's day. In HIVE, the students will participate in age-appropriate activities that build upon what they learn in their Preschool classroom. Through hands-on activities and social play, our program supports and reinforces the behaviors and learning that is occurring in their preschool rooms.

Our HIVE Extended program also includes embedded enrichment classes for our Preschool kids including, but not limited to Ready, Set, Soccer, Mad Science, Math, Music, Motion, Hip Hop, and Art. These enrichment opportunities are only available to students who are registered in our HIVE Extended program. These classes provide an awesome extension into a child's day and our kids look forward to having their "specialists" come throughout the year.

HIVE Extended is a separate program from the Hillsborough Preschools that Hillsborough Recreation offers to its families. This program is only for our registered Hillsborough Preschool participants.

Here is a sample schedule for a HIVE Extended Day:

11:30--12:30 Preschool Students arrive and enjoy embedded enrichment class/themed activity taught by HIVE staff

12:30--1:00 Preschool students participate in an activity, social play, lunch and go home
