6th Grade Art is a foundation course in the visual arts where students learn basic skills in 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional art. Students will participate in the creative process and will practice reflection and critique of artworks.
Materials used in 6th Grade Art include: pastels, watercolors, pencil, charcoal, tempera paint, ink and clay. Through drawing, painting, ceramics, printmaking and collage students will learn about featured artists and art movements, the Elements of Art, color theory, representational and abstract art.

Trimester grades will be based on two categories: Projects and Daily Classroom Maintenance.
