It's hard to believe that the 2023-2024 Scheduling Season is upon us! This site is intended to provide our students and parents/guardians the information necessary to make informed decisions about schedules for the upcoming school year. Students can also access comprehensive information by visiting the hcpss.org website.

The Course Registration process for next school year is now open. Students were given information on registration during GLAD time on December 13th. This process will be completed online through HCPSS Connect. All students must choose 7 courses and 3 to 4 strong alternate courses. We know many students are considering additional opportunities for the upcoming school year (Intern/Mentor GT, Jumpstart/Dual Enrollment, Work Release, Apprenticeship, and more). Those conversations will occur after students have completed this step in the course registration process. Course Registration must be completed by January 17th.
Refer to the SCHEDULES tab for important dates related to the scheduling process. Please understand that all dates are approximate and likely to change due to a variety of factors.
We encourage students to challenge themselves in areas of natural interest and abilities with Honors, GT, and AP courses, while working to create a healthy balance between their academic demands and other priorities like extracurricular activities, part-time jobs, and time with family and friends. Students should be aware that any AP level class is a college-level course, and very rigorous. Students need to make intentional decisions about how much rigor they should pursue each year, in relation to how they manage their priorities and stress levels. A student's emotional and physical well-being should be central to the discussions and decisions made during scheduling season. Please don't hesitate to reach out to your teachers and your counselor with any questions or concerns you may have with your anticipated class mix.
Remember: Contrary to popular belief, graduation is not the finish line, it's actually the starting line. Be sure to leave some "gas in the tanks" for your future goals!!
