Let the storytelling begin! Each team will choose a different guitar from this list of guitars that are part of the Songbirds Foundation collection. While you may be familiar with some artists associated with these guitars, don't be concerned if there is no artist listed or you do not know the listed artist. Each of these guitars are special instruments with a story to tell. You'll need to research their history and interview people to discover these stories and bring them to life for visitors to the museum!
Dynamo Studios will provide on-site recording sessions with guitarists to help you create original soundtracks for your film. Recording sessions will occur in the ThinkSpace on the following dates and times:
Wednesday, April 25 / 1:30 PM - 4:00 PM
Wednesday, May 2 / 1:30 PM - 4:00 PM
Friday, May 4 / 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Wednesday, May 9 / 1:30 PM - 4:00 PM
Friday, May 11 / 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Teams should sign up for recording session time slots using the Signup.com website. Time slots are listed for 30 minutes, however, teams should sign up for multiple time slots if needed.
During the recording sessions, teams will collaborate with Kessler Cuffman, Zach Randolph, and Mike Walker to record custom guitar tracks for your films. You can prepare for these sessions by being prepared with ideas on the music styles you are aiming for. However, as with real recording sessions, the collaboration between artists can lead to unpredictable magic! Have fun with it!
Teams may use this Google Slides template for designing and printing their promotional poster.
