Chattanooga Zoo

Project Information

The Chattanooga Zoo engages and inspires our community to better understand and preserve wildlife by creating meaningful connections between people and animals.  The Chimpanzee Exhibit is one of the most beloved exhibits at the zoo. These cute, social animals are our closest cousins. Chimps are intelligent, curious, and noisy and love interacting with zoo visitors. The zoo education team has asked STEM students to create interactive experiences to better engage zoo visitors. Wild ideas are encouraged for a wild exhibit!  That’s where STEM students come in!  The zoo education team has asked STEM students to create interactive experiences in the chimp exhibit to better engage zoo visitors.  For the school partner, the focus is on the creation of a high quality exhibit to support its educational mission.  For the STEM School, the focus is on the collaboration and innovation skills demonstrated by the student teams.
