Grand Challenge for Engineering: Advance Personalized Learning
This project is a Grand Challenge for Engineering project.
Question. What are the Grand Challenges for Engineering?
Answer. With input from people around the world, an international group of leading technological thinkers were asked to identify the Grand Challenges for Engineering in the 21st century. Their 14 game-changing goals for improving life on the planet, announced in 2008, are outlined here. The committee suggested these Grand Challenges fall into four cross-cutting themes: SUSTAINABILITY, HEALTH, SECURITY, and JOY OF LIVING.
Question. What is the challenge "Advance Personalized Learning" and how can I learn more?
Answer. Here's a brief description of this challenge:
A growing appreciation of individual preferences and aptitudes has led toward more “personalized learning,” in which instruction is tailored to a student’s individual needs. Given the diversity of individual preferences, and the complexity of each human brain, developing teaching methods that optimize learning will require engineering solutions of the future.

Question. Do I need to do anything special for my project since it's a Grand Challenge for Engineering project?
Answer. Yes. You need to explain how your work connects to this grand challenge. Review your project rubric for details.
