Most issues can be solved through the basic troubleshooting tips below. If the strategies below do not help solve your issues, please reach out to the IT Department Help Desk so we can help!
Is the Owl plugged in? Be sure the Owl is getting power. If you are using the extension cord, be sure the Owl is plugged into the extension cord and the extension cord is plugged into the wall.
Is the USB cord plugged into the Owl? Check all of the connections for the USB cable. If you are using the USB extension cord, be sure that is connected as well.
When was the last time that you restarted your laptop? It is possible that a restart can refresh the software running Zoom and Meet that make the Owl work.
Confirm the Owl is getting power
Confirm the USB cable is connected to the Owl
Confirm the USB cable is connected to your laptop
Confirm the USB extension cable is plugged in tightly
Check the power cable going into the Owl
Check the power cable going into the electrical outlet
Check the surge protector is connected and is getting power (the light should be on)
