You are almost ready to teach your classes. Some of the steps below can be completed before you start class or they can be modified during your class.

Most faculty just mirror (or clone) their laptop display onto the projector. However, you can also extend your display to create a second workspace with different apps and windows on each display - it is like having a second monitor.
If you use Extended Display or Dual Monitor in the classroom, you can share your "second display" with students in the classroom on the projector and with students at home with Zoom. Your "first display" will be visible to just you on your laptop's screen.
You must be connected to the projector or display first to make this work.
Turn on Extended Desktop Mode
Make sure that your external display is turned on and connected to your Mac.
Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Displays.
Click the Arrangement tab.
Make sure that the Mirror Displays checkbox is NOT selected.
Arrange your displays or change your primary display
Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Displays.
Click the Arrangement tab.
To change the position of a display, drag it to the desired position. A red border appears around the display as it's moved.
To set a different display as the primary display, drag the menu bar to the other display.

Turn on Dual Monitor Mode
Select Start > Settings > System > Display. Your PC should automatically detect your monitors and show your desktop. If you don't see the monitors, select Detect.
In the Multiple displays section, select Extend these Displays.
Once you've selected what you see on your displays, select Keep changes.
Rearrange your displays - You'll see this option when Windows detects more than one display. Each display will be numbered to help you identify them more easily.
Identify a display
To see which number corresponds to a display, select Start > Settings > System > Display > Rearrange your displays
Then select Identify. A number appears on the screen of the display it's assigned to.
Detect a display
If you connected another display and it isn't showing in Settings, select Start > Settings > System > Display > Rearrange your displays, then select Detect.
Arrange your displays
If you have multiple displays, you can change how they're arranged. This is helpful if you want your displays to match how they're set up in your home or office.
In Display settings, select and drag the display to where you want. Do this with all the displays you want to move.
When you're happy with the layout, select Apply. Test your new layout by moving your mouse pointer across the different displays to make sure it works like you expect.

You may notice that text written on the whiteboard is backwards for the students at home. To fix this, you need to uncheck the mirroring option in Zoom. You should only need to adjust this setting once.
Start Zoom.
Select the Settings icon and then Video.
In the My Video section, uncheck Mirror my video.
(While you are in the settings, feel free to explore other configurations.)
After you start your Zoom meeting...
Select the Up Arrow next to Mute.
Select the Meeting Owl Pro for both the Microphone and the Speaker.
When your laptop is in Extended Display (Mac) or Dual Monitor (Windows) mode, you can share either display with the students learning remotely. In most cases, you will share your second display (the display being projected to the students in the room) with the students at home.
After you start your Zoom meeting...
Select the Screen Share button.
Select the second display.
The Meeting Owl App enables you to focus and lock the camera on the teacher or on any portion of the room that is important for your students to see. Get the Owl app to be able to control the Owl. Your school may have set a passcode to access all of the features in the app - contact your IT Department for that code.
To use this feature, follow the steps below...
Start a meeting with your Meeting Owl.
Open the Meeting Owl app on your phone or tablet.
Select your Owl from the Nearby Owls list - it will be named by room numbers.
Select Camera Lock.
Select Take Control.
Move the slider back and forth to select an area you would like to see locked to the screen.
To reset, select Reset to Auto Focus.
The Meeting Owl Pro has an 18-foot radius audio pickup range. However, we recommend the following...
The closer you are to the Owl, the better the audio quality.
Be sure to always speak loudly as you move further away from the Owl.
If a student in the classroom asks a question, move yourself closer to the Meeting Owl Pro, face the Owl, and repeat the question for the students at home.
Check with your remote students throughout the class to confirm they can hear you.
