Saturday, April 9th, 2022

The SPEDucator Project is hosting its final event of the school year! This event will be the first time we are able to hold a face-to-face opportunity on Oahu to bring members of our community together! We will provide up to 60 travel stipend reimbursements for attendees traveling from neighboring islands.

This event is hosted by the SPEDucators, and is open to everyone! Join us to learn more about this project and topics specific to special education. Next, hear about some innovative projects being done to support students with disabilities across the state. Finally, have an opportunity to connect with others around topics of your own choosing! We look forward to having you join us!

Event Topics

CEC Learnings

This January and February, members of the SPEDucator Project had the amazing opportunity to attend the hybrid Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) conference, either in Orlando, Florida or online. They were able to connect with special education teachers and researchers from around the nation to learn on broad and diverse topics across the field of special education.

For this event, each SPEDucator picked their favorite session from the conference to summarize and share. Come learn practical tips and the most up-to-date practices and knowledge from the field!

Passion Projects

Learn about the different passion projects being implemented in various schools and classrooms around the state. Passion projects are opportunities for teachers to combine their own passions and desire to make meaningful change, by designing or advocating for unique opportunities to address an issue or need within our education system.
