Prepare for your exchange to UHM 

Once you have been accepted on exchange to UHM, you will be sent instructions on the next steps to prepare for your exchange, including:

• Complete the UHM Admissions transfer application by the stated deadline.

• Once admitted, create your UH account and email. All official communication will be sent to your UH email address, so be sure to check it regularly.

• Complete the required UH Health Clearance.

• Work with your home campus advisor to identify UHM courses you can take while on exchange. View Class Availability for your intended exchange semester. Students should have course flexibility as we cannot guarantee enrollment in specific courses. Please review the "Academics" tab on the UHM NSE Campus Profile. 

• Explore on-campus and off-campus housing options. Please note that on-campus housing is not guaranteed, especially for the Spring semester.

• Apply for financial aid and scholarships through your home campus. Do not apply for financial aid through UH Mānoa.

• Purchase your flight to Hawaiʻi once you have determined your place of residence and their move in and move out dates.

• Complete the NSE Inbound Risk and Release Form (required).

• Attend the mandatory inbound orientation (the Saturday before the start of the semester).
