US Navy Computer Science document

Leap-Start is designed to add significant workforce experience targeted at IT and Cyber program students. Leap-Start is all about helping students successfully compete for IT-related jobs in Hawai'i.

The Leap-Start program is run by and paid for by the UH ITS department, but the participating employers are primarily outside of the UH system.

There are 15+ employers (and growing) participating in the Leap-Start program and include many of the most widely-respected companies in the State.

These are paid positions ($19/hr+) with flexible hours during the semester and possibility to work full time in the summers.

In the short history of Leap-Start, many students have transitioned from the program to full time jobs with the sponsoring employer or leveraged their experience to other full-time jobs.
