NDIA, in partnership with Pacific Technology Cooperation Group (PTCG) will host this year's Cyber Forensics Five-0 Challenge.

In this immersive journey, students navigate a complex maze of challenges, meticulously examining compromised data laden with hidden clues. Adopting the role of virtual forensic examiners, they sift through digital footprints left by malicious actors, piecing together the puzzle of a cyberattack. From unraveling encrypted messages to scrutinizing network logs, they race against the clock to pinpoint the source and fortify vulnerable systems.

Girls, grades 4 - 12 will learn cybersecurity-essential skills with hands-on activities:

• Cybersecurity Superheroes - Social Engineering - why it is important and the consequences.

• Create Your Secret Code - Password Safety - why you need a safe password and how to make one.

• Digital Detectives - Phishing/Vishing - with so many ways of being attacked, what are the more common ones, and how to protect yourself?

• Guardians of the Web - Cryptography / Web Design Safety - How to run a safe website and what to beware of if hacked. Why is Cryptography important, and how is it used?

Participants must bring their own device.

Learn about careers in technology through speaking to IT executives and professionals at our larger local businesses. This externship is open to all teachers.

Students and educators get the opportunity to visit local IT organizations and learn about careers in technology.
