The Hawaii Annual Code Challenge (HACC) is a multi-week hackathon that brings together teams with many experience levels - high school, college, and professional - to solve real-world code opportunities and challenges offered by State & local agencies, schools, and non-profit groups. The purpose of the HACC is to provide an opportunity for civic engagement to the local technology community in modernizing state functions and services for a more effective, efficient and open government, while facilitating information technology (IT) workforce development and stimulating the development of ideas that may lead to technology business and economic development for the participants.
